Cool.  Nabbed that pic thanks.  My home track.

You're right...hasn't changed much.  One thing I noticed though.....I have some old footage of Heywood and it shows after the first berm it wasn't straight but turned in and back out again.  I never remembered this....always thought of it as the pic shown above.

The pic above hs missed out Steven Davidsons dad stood on scaffolding doing the commentating with lead connected to car for power....Rusty Taylor in his wooly hat wandering round the middle of the track and Jack Hibbert jumping about at the fnish line as daughter Jane won yet again.

The track is still rideable.....go down there every now and then as it's only 10-15 minutes away.

Got these stills from some old footage so very fuzzy..not sure what year...but going off the RVR race shirts, they're the older ones so reckon this is 84.  As you can....it's a bit different from that drawing above...the back straight has a bend in it as you can see in the 1st pic which shows the riders coming out of the 1st berm.  The second pic shows only a speed jump as alternative route to the step up.

Still got mine.

You mean the first ones they had?  Like this -

They were a tea bag material, and as you can tell the red print wore off...it had Roch Valley Raiders down the sleeves and a band of yellow.  I will get the top out for better pics when I have more time.  :)
