My 1st project
« on: November 06, 2008, 10:25 PM »
I have only had this frame a few weeks now, its  a 1979/1983 Pk Ripper.

Just looking for the forks before sending off for a coating.

http://s262.photobucket.com/albums/ii86/rideandy/?action=view&current=PKRipper001.jpg

I'm thinking about baby blue,or black.

I know I will be asking for loads of advice on parts and stuff, as so new to this.

It was the bike of my dreams to many years ago and cant wait to ride.

I bought it of ebay and had it shipped over from the states, paid £200!!

What do you think??

Cheers
Andy

Lookin' tidy Andy  ;) .

Plenty of inspiration & advice here , just take your time and the finished result will be cool .

Put plenty of thought into the colour scheme at this early stage  ;) .

For a 1st project you've jumped in at the top end....

Nice frame, forks are quite sought after.

Are you trying to grow the forks yourself? ;)

I'd go baby blue all the way :smitten:

I think you did well on the price of that frame :daumenhoch:

There you go mate, fantastic looking bike this one.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

If you are looking for somebody to paint it for you, speak to Sam (carcosmeticus).  He's painted a few for me and he's itching to paint something in Ford ST Orange!!  Dont let him push you into it though!!

Del will sort the decals.

You just need to chose the colour - baby blut does it for me!

I had a GT performer painted in Ford Focus Orange a couple of years back. Had a gold flake in it.  :smitten: Looked unreal but not advisable if you wanna sell on! ;)
