How exactly do you take this measurement? My 89 GT XL could be 18 or 19.5 depending on how you do it

In that case an 89 GT Pro Series XL has a 19.5 inch top tube.

They tend to be much longer these days!!But there still is a lot of variation. I'd say 20.5" is the minimum for an adult NS ride (unless your a Spen).You should race some OS and get that BITD vibe going again!!
