WD 40 can be used to remove grease.  It breaks it down.

You've now probably got a freewheel with no grease in it, except for any grit thats in there!!

If you've removed the grease then you'll need a new freewheel as it will wear down quickly!!  :(

I haven't a clue!!  ???

But WD40 is not the way to go.

If you remove a freewheel then use WD40 on the threads to ease removal.

But Squirting it into a Freewheel is a big No No!!

Luckily Stodgy is flogging some Freewheels!!  :daumenhoch:

Most Freewheels have 2 pin holes for a 2 pin spanner!!

Maybe you can take it apart and regrease it!!

Its much easier to just buy a new one though!!

NEVER use WD40 on bearings you can't re-grease!!!
IT will screw them.
anyway; if it's a decent freewheel [shimano etc]
get it taken apart and re-greased, a good bike shop will do this for you.
but it will probobly cost only a couple of quid more to buy a new one.
good luck.....Skids
