Stand Out Video Sections
« on: October 24, 2008, 03:46 AM »
Been thinking about this for a while, what video sections have you seen that were so well matched to the music that you thought 'this should be the video for this song'?

So, stand out section matched to a stand out song.....

I'll start with the obvious one - Hoffmans final slo mo section on Headfirst/Fugazi Blueprint.

And

Jay miron on Madd Matt/Tragically Hip On The Verge.   Love that one   :daumenhoch:

I've stuck it here in midschool just because it seems right to do so. The age of the video camera and all that.   ;)

The start of Dirty Deeds, "I am Iron Man" as Castillio (maybe) does a big hand rail.

Mike Escamilla :daumenhoch:

His section on Dirty Deeds is RAD, riding to 'Paint it Black' by the Rolling Stones - LEGEND!!

I need a little help on this one fella's as i wasn't riding for alot of this era, but i still followed bmx and had stacks of vids alot of them very homemadish if you like (I know they were) i just cant remember the name.

Rolling Stones, You cant always Get what you need

It was a crash section at the very end of the vid the lyrics are just so fitting to whats going on.
i.e I need this trick but i just cant nail it. The songs a real builder i love the beginning of it.

Sounds like one of Jon Pratt's vids Spacial Awareness i think.

...or the other one Zero Tolerance, both brilliant vids.

Yep i would never of came up with those names but now you say them pretty sure i had both. KOC came to mind because i recall alot of southsea footage.
Most my vids were copies so i just threw em in the machine no labels or owt on em.

Crash section of the S&M vid 44 something. A punk/rock cover of ABBAs SOS.  :daumenhoch:

Even if I hear the real ABBA version of SOS all I can think of is some of the crashes, like when Trainer mached his knee at the Arizona Hoffman comp and he rolled down the dirt landing holding his leg

Not familiar with cut off dates for old mid etc but Aggroman approx 90 i think ,when Hoffman rides his ramp in the suit doing all the variations the music is synched to his variations like if he does a no footed cancan to no footer there's a drum beat or symbol in synch with when he kicks his legs out.
I might be way off the mark but i think it may have been steve swopes band playing the track.

Mark Eaton riding to Pete Murphy in Dorkin' 4

Dave Mirra on mini-ramps in the same vid to Pearl Jam 'Even Flow'

James Shepherd's section in Trash to the Fu-Schnickens - a True Fuschnick  8)

Billy Beebe on flat to Consolidated's 'Brutal Equation' (never heard of Consolidated before then), think that was in Homeless III

Oh yeah, both Ride On and Dorkin' came out with Biohazard's 'Wrong Side of the Tracks' at the same time and both of 'em did it justice
