Black forks? or chrome? (won't really be chrome, just buffed up metal.)

chrome compliments the chrome rear end pretty good
but you gonna just polish the bare metal?

bare chromoly is a dull grey colour!

While I was stripping the old stickers off the forks I happened to take the paint off, the bare metal looks very shiney, me thinks they might not be chromoly, they are a tad on the heavy side and have those holes for screw in pegs so I'm guessing they might be steel.
