Having only ever used comp 3's, what new race tyres do people use now?
What with tarmac berms  etc, what are you using?

I use Intense micro knobbies on 20 and cruiser,

fat front, skinny rear and have noticed they roll faster and stick better than any tire I have used before  :daumenhoch:

 :) DINGO :)

The fat/thin discussion could go on forever.

Ride with what you feel most comfortable with. I go for 1.75 front and rear.

I've got Schwalbe Mow Joe 1.85 front and rear.  However, they seem to come up a bit wider than 1.85 (more like 1.95), so I might stick a 1.75 Comp 3 or one of those Intense Micro jobbies on the back next season.

I run 1.75 front and rear, just personal preference and doesn`t make my bike look like a reverse tractor!

use 1.75 front and rear on 20", cruiser i bought has 2.125 front and 1.75 rear, but front doesn't look right and was washing out on high speed corners, will be changing to 1.75 all round, once i can ride again

Regarding the fat/thin thing. I've got some skinwall comp 3's and some blackwall. The skinwall 2.125 is huge compared to the 2.125 blackwall one.

Intense... Pah! go for the cheaper option which is what i use... Maxxis Holly Rollers, £20 a set... only ever used them and they're good in the wet... thats where the Intenses loose! lol... and they're £20 a tyre!
