 :-\are shimano tourney brake calipars bobbins or the dogs nutz, Ive got a pair and dont wether to ditch em or keep em. Havent seen any on another bike which is making me think they are la bobbins, can anyone help nice1 :-\

i cant understand why they are not on any o/s builds, like dia compe 1020, you never see them.... if its for a 1981-82 build then go for it... :daumenhoch:

I have a bling set in chrome :daumenhoch: look the biz and supposedly better braking as you don't have to keep centralising them due to the way they are made with the extra spring and thingy on the back ;) just my opinion tho :daumenhoch:

Decent enough Brake for your earlier 80's builds. I've got them on a 1980 and 1981 Kuwahara. I also use 1020's and 890's on some builds instead of MX900/1000's.

Nice and cheap aswell still.

You can team them up with Shimano DX or if an earlier build go Dia Compe Tech2 or Dia Compe pre bend  ;)
