I think you have the wrong "Keith"... I had a break from the quarry from the mid 80's until 2009 when I got the bug again, so I missed all the 90's stuff with Mike, Ste and Dan.You are welcome back anytime (the sooner the better with the winter pending). You will have to get in touch with Mike or Ste if you want to meet them up there. ( Mike is... mikebmx92, if you want to send him a message).
Your talking about Keith Bell Havent seen him for about 3 years, but Rico seen him out riding last weekend up hamsterley forest on a big wheeler- think he broke his leg badly a while back and couldnt ride for a year or two. Be good to catch up with Keith again like, think he's into surfing more than BMX these days.
Some nice pictures there Graham, the quarry looked good in the late 90's and you must have had some great times. Back in the 80's we practically lived up there and then BMX went all quiet and we moved on to other stuff. It's interesting to see these 90's photos as they show us what we missed. The place was looking run down at the end of last year so some of us old SOD's (Shifters Of Dirt) got the shovels out and put a few new jumps in and things have picked up a bit. It would be good to recreatd that central line, it looked mean, and Nige will need a new challenge for next summer, now that he's got the 8 pack dialed .

The pic of Mike transfering across on the yellow bike (first I posted of him) was taken a few years before the others (maybe 96) & I think it was among the first few times those jumps had been ridden. Going in a straight run into the landing Mike is heading for I jumped it, landed quite square with my back wheel on top & nose wheelied down the landing but stayed on.The rest are from 98 iirc. Now I've managed to get right through the whole 67 pages of this topic I can see how much you've changed it since then. Nothing looks the same as I remember it, the death pack was there but still being built so I never saw it in use.The main line was great fun though & not as hard as it looked.SODP looks fun, shame its getting late in the year now or I'd look at making the trip up to ride them but we are looking for somewhere to dig round here after ours were blocked from use. Graham.
Great pix Graham. They fill in a gap that has been missing on here... Pre DP and Hip-jump. Its a shame that line got flattened and used else-where, but never mind.Nige... I had a look at your new vids today on you-tube..... Good stuff
been up today should have took the barra it was a little to wet over at the 8 pack side.took me shovel and worked on the cliff side jumps got the third looking sweet.a few cans and crap about but it has been half term and that lighting of roseberry last week not to bad .it was perfect for digging really getting into the shovel side again, love making stuff and making what we have much better .After riding this year and getting into the trails i,m really motivated to dig some good stuff over the coming months.roll on spring AQL.
alright tommy,It was an unexpected early finish so i just escaped to the woods,i,ll text ye next time no worries mate.you were right ,up in the corner above spiral thats where it,s gonna start.Anyone got any ideas for the extention to the small run ?like i said gonna do that off set table then it,s open to suggestions.the jump next to the 8 pack on it,s own isn,t getting used and hasn,t for most of the summer,it don,t lead anywhere and your going to fast for the rest of the 8 pack. there is loads of dirt there and it really needs to come out,it,s good dirt aswell.any ideas let us know.aql
