No - it wasn't me Paul.  I had to get off and was away by 5.  Don't worry - I always say hello to the old boys when I go somewhere new.

Great to get up there.  Really good to meet Maccaz.  The whole setup is vastly different to when I last visited on my MTB (10 years ago at least).

I was worried about not being able to do anything when I got there, reinforced by my little tumble after picking up too much speed down towards to bombhole thing at the end of the quarry.

Was absolutely stoked to the max when I did the cliffside rhythm just before leaving.  That is the first ever dirt rhythm I have ridden!!

I think it's really good that the first two jumps were tables.  If they hadn't been I would never have had the guts to keep trying.

I nipped up this morning with the boy early doors and did it again - just to prove to myself it wasn't a fluke!  :D

It's a shame I can't get up there this afternoon but need to do familly things etc. like decorating eggs and that.

Once again - great to get up there.  I hope to get up there again soon and meet everyone else.

Oh - but really hope Josh Bodsa isn't there  :2gunsfiring_v1: (if you know him, you'll know what I mean).

 :) :) :)

Guess I'll get to say hello another time then, glad you enjoyed it  :) Nige filled the first two cliffside rhythm jumps to give people a chance to build up their courage and skills and a good decision it was, well done on jumping the gap. There is still a lot of repair work to be carried out before the place is ship shape, the bowl end hasn't been touched for ages as far as I know and need some TLC when we can find time and the digging conditions are right. Building the 8 pack took a lot of effort and time, now that its functional we want to try and get another beginner/intermediate track going with some fun stuff following on from the spiral.

Yea some of the kids (of all ages) can be a bit trying at times but I guess that's just part of growing up, I'll stash some ear plugs up there for people who need a break from the noise ;D

On the camper front, in reflection it looked like 4 lads with an older bloke (possibly their dad) with a load of camping gear, i saw em near the railway bridge so they could have pitched anywhere. just thought id give it a mention considering the absolute state of the quarry the other day.

Hmmm, I was just saying to Keith the other day that if you're not careful you can get into thinking that every youngster heading into the woods is up to no good. Us lads spent most of our childhoods up there camping and climbing and exploring and never did any harm and there must still be plenty of kids like that, just the minority cause the problems as per usual.

I didn't make it up today myself but am aiming to be there tomorrow.

Fantastic jumping session late Sunday tea time, my trigger finger wasn't fast enough to do the lads justice but I still got a few good ones as you can see. Get in there Mike!
