Boulder Hill resurrection, is progressing.

For those who don't know boulder hill is behind the old second berm and in recent years it has been overrun by the gorse  >:(

Once the bushes are gone I see a step up behind the Big Hip. The slope down from the bolder is steep and good for 20+ mph so lots of jump possibilities  :)

A nice run-up for the "SIDE_JUMP"......... Next time im up I might borrow a shovel  :daumenhoch:

Paul Gray's quarry pictures, early eighties.

Is this the idea... back to how it used to be ( Boulder hill ( in the background ) i mean). I suppose this pic needs the full treatment on how it used to be inc side-jump.

(pic didnt work :tickedoff:... but it was the 9th one down on pauls quarry pics...page 2

Man! we used to hit that jump flatout, you can see the run up next to the berm. It really has changed up there  :( but it's still great  :D

Digging drainage is a back breaking job but it's gotta be done. A lot of water seeps down out of the hilside behind the 'Death Pack' and the new drain should give it a better route to the swamp hole.

Before digging, note 'Death Pack 1' to the left of picture.

After digging, working nicely, a pint for that man  :buck2:

Great pics mate, very similar setup to my old MXII, but I went for CW bars and Shotgun II seat.

Hey Ron,

I had a black Redline MXII which you can see in my pics, I bumped into the lad I sold it to (well F&F) a coupled of days ago and he's still got it, might have to offer him  some cash  ;)

:daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: Cant believe Im looking at those pics now after all this time. Brings back brilliant memorys and the black and white ones are ace. That side jump was superb, and its great to look at the background as much as us. You can clearly see on some of em, boulder hill :4_17_5:

ps if the redline you are describing is mine, then I never had GT bars, I think I had Mongoose bars, which I cracked and then had the Robinson bars with the bend on the ends :)

Just had a look through all the pics and I dont think the bars with the bends at the end were Robinson. Got me puzzled now to what they were. I was gonna say CW as the name wrang a bell, but it was you (paul) who had the CW's.
