Suntour XCII Resto
« on: October 12, 2008, 08:10 PM »
Been after mint set of XCII's for ages and they always went for silly money so I thought I'd try a bit of resto, as it is a bit more satisfying as well.

Picked these up from US bay a while back for about £20 posted :-

After a trip to Paul at Customparts (top man and top job would recommend highly  :daumenhoch:)  the cages and bodies came back like this :-

Then after a little bit more tlc.

Decals curtesy of Kendo  (Cheers Steve  :daumenhoch: )

Pretty pleased with them  :)

Andy.

Those cages look great, did he re-engrave the lettering and paint in the white too?

Well impressed :daumenhoch:

They're not decals.  He was just careful round the lettering when he polished them and I got my brother to re-paint them, he's good at shit like that as he makes false eyes for a living

They were very reasonable     :daumenhoch: . After I got them back and looked at the job he'd done I felt like I should have give him more.
