Cheers Paul.

Guys, here's something that could benefit Titans.

I would be grateful if you could vote for my entry into a competition. Its really easily, first click on the link below:

www.printing.com/popstar

Click on the pic like the one below to vote. You can vote each day until end of Jan. Winners will announced on 27 Feb.

The entry with the most votes wins £1000 of print, 2 runners-up £500.

If we win, we can get some stickers, flyers or promo items produced for the club.

Thanks for help guys. A bit off topic I know, but the print can be used for the club.

Cheers. I think I will keep the hair do.  ;D

no racing this Sunday guys seeing as the track is being resurfaced on Monday. If anyone is free, anytime Monday - Wednesday get in touch with either Kenny as they would be grateful of a hand to reshape some of the jumps.

next race will be Sunday 8th Feb. see you all then.

That's great the track is being repaired, etc. Can't make it through during the week due to work, etc.

I am going to get Chris Hoy's book 'Heroes, Villans and Velodromes'. Amazon have an extract from it that explains how he go into BMX, Scotia, etc. Looks like an interesting read. Maybe some of you have read it already. Is it any good?

See y'all on Sunday 8th if all goes to plan.  :daumenhoch:

my mum was speaking to the mother of someone from our club who raced with chris hoy back in the day. they were rivals as he was a very quick racer.

this 'mother' had read his book and was livid, as she said it painted him as an 'untouchable force' in scottish bmx, which wasn't the case in her opinion.

If have Hoy's book reserved at the local library. Will read it on Sunday now that racing is postponed as the track repairs can't be carried out cos of the snow, etc.  :'(

I will post a quick opinion of the book once I have read it. From what I have read, his parents where very supportive of his BMX racing and his early years as a cyclist, when money and resources were slim.

Shame about Sunday being postponed. I know this is the third time the club has had to re-schedule the resurfacing. Sods law, but the track does need it. Last meeting was carnage so a good move to postpone.

We'll get there in the end.

As the racings off on sunday (8th) Im heading down to Glentress on the MTB. Your all more than welcome to come along if your at a loose end.

Noel Cowan said he might come along if he doesn't damage himself on his snowboard on Saturday.

Planning to be there from about 12ish.   :daumenhoch:

So, any idea when we might get the use of our track again?

If anyone is heading out this weekend let me know - either GT, Inners, Carron on a MTB or somewhere on the BMX.  I'm needing to spin me legs...

Quite a few of us will be, but mostly for the newschool classes.  We've already started a thread listing all of the riders heading south for Hartlepool.  Only Kenny Scullion is a definate for the OS class so far.

I'll check with the guys from Scottish Cycling next week when we have our meeting, but I'm pretty sure you'd now be eligible for the Special Olympics Davey.  :LolLolLolLol:

You could always be the passenger on a side-hack!

He'd have to be strapped to the side-hack, so that he doesn't do his shoulder any more harm!!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Hi Moley.

The 2 Kennys wont strap me on a sidehack, they will strap me in the van we are coming down in so I dont attempt to go on the bike. :knuppel2:

I have seen more crashes at Hartlepool than any other track!!

The Summer National was crash central!!

Its on the side of a hill, long and has 6 straights!!!

Spectating will be fine,  Plenty of action!!!  :daumenhoch:

Guys, I can't make this Sunday (8th) due to other commitments.

Hopefully make it down to Hartlepool though. I will confirm for sure by Sunday night.

Have a good day on the re-surfaced track. I'm dying to try it out.

Good work to all involved with the maintenance.  :daumenhoch:

Pity racing was cancelled again. Here's a reminder what riding the track looks like.
