« on: October 06, 2008, 08:25 PM »
How about RADBMX.co.uk email address. I own loads of website, and run a few comercially, giving out emails is dead easy, i think it can be automated. I would love a luke@radbmx.co.uk email address, tbh I would pay into the radfund for the priveldge £20?. its my idea so if you do it I have to have luke@radbmx.co.uk ok?

I'd like some of that!!  :daumenhoch:

Certainly beats joebloggs@btinternet.com

What about SPAM?   How is that dealt with?

I wouldn't like the site being brought down under a deluge of SPAM!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Well my hosts have built in spam - my email does nto get uch, but you can train outlook or thunderbird to filter it, its not a risk to the site as such.
I dunno who hosts rad but it should be doable. Especially if peeps pay!

Sorry guys, not gonna happen I'm afraid.

It's a real nice idea, but if we give out radbmx.co.uk email addresses it will look like you are official representatives of the site. Whereas this is fine for the majority on here, we have had instances where people have traded off our name for their own gain.

RADBMX is a brand and we need to protect it in the same way Coca-Cola would give out cocacola.com email addresses.

Thanks for the idea though, in theory it sounds a fine one!

Ok then what about if i, or someone was to buy www.radbmxmember.net, or something similar, then subbed out the email addys from there?

Then that would keep the radbmx.co.uk solely for the site mods and representatives?
