It's a replica of Sir Bob's bike from BITD and that's the setup he used to run ;)

And a closer one you will never see  :daumenhoch:

I can but wish one day I will have the genuine article...

However sh1t the re issue is it would be nice to see what someone with the right parts could do for it....

Ray.

Thats exactly what i will be doing. To clear up the reissue availability, theres around 100 coming into the uk through the haro distributor and it looks likely they will dock in November. I have an account and have got myself one at staff prices less some persuasion so im gonna break it up and build if as an experiment with better new school parts. Was gonna do some old school parts but frankly thats a bit too cliched me thinks  :daumenhoch:

Great thread with loads of pictures and explanations  :LolLolLolLol:

Dom, that's probably the nicest thing to do on such a bike, it doesn't really belong to old school except for the stickers..

it looks too long :-\

Haro Freestyler Bike (2009)
It took Haro two years to get this bike out of the vault, but they say it felt like 30. Actually, it was 30. The year was 1978. The rider was Bob Haro. The sport didn’t have a name yet, but the man had a vision. That vision is locked in time by this bike. The Original Freestyler isn’t a retro bike in the purest sense—it features too many modern conveniences to suffer that fate. Instead, the Original Freestyler is a 21st century interpretation of the bike Bob used to get the ball rolling. Old school or old’s cool? You decide. We only know one thing for certain—this Haro Original Freestyler is rad.

It actually looks better than I thought it would, but there's still something so wrong with it   :-\

Bru  :daumenhoch:

Is it just me or does the headtube angle look really slack in comparison to the original?

the only retro bike i feel right on is this pearl 07 quad...

it was my favourite bike bitd, it might not be everyones cup of tea, but its nice to ride a retro looking bike with a twist of modern technoligy, strong enough (i hope) to take my 16st frame, it would be sacrilidge to start bouncing around on this...

so my oliver, what do you think of the new freestyler?......

oh dear me!!!

It looks pants imo...  :(

If the frame/forks are light enough (doubt it) i wouldnt mind seeing and trying one with decent new school parts

I wouldnt buy one...  :-\
