S&M HOLMES, ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT
« on: October 01, 2008, 03:12 PM »
Hi Everyone

im new to the site, and i can say im loving it and this mid school section rocks

i currently have two holmes' built that i ride, one being a third gen 1" with pitch forks, which was my original bike, the other being a NG holmes thanks to Mr harris rather recently

Mr harris was also kind enough to sell me another NG holmes frame but im finding it difficult to get my hands on a set of forks, not to mention all the other bits that i want to make it a minter. Once i get the bits im hoping to send it to PWS for a mint pant job and start the build

so i guess my question is, 1. does anyone have and ideas or even better bits that i might be interested in? 2. does anyone have any details of original colours for the NG holmes

thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any help

GINGER HOLMES

PS cheers harris for all your help

thanks for the welcome guys

darkersomeday, some of those parts sound just what im looking for, any chance you could private mail me some more details, pics, prices?
the only thing im worried about is as they are mint, and i might paint them i dont want to ruin mint part, but i guess it depends on what they are in the first place, cheers for youe help

kev s, im hoping to get the frames photographed at the weekend if not before, so i should be able to get some shots on here soon. from the looks of things i've come to the right place to find the s&m parts im looking for, although i have a feeling not all of my wish list will be possible to fill, but u never know and it looks like i might be able to get some bits that a very close to what i want so i guess im going to have to keep my eyes open and ear to the ground

thanks again for the welcome

long live the MID

death to all standards

Thats not something Id wanna say anywhere near Laz!

take over the mid school section

Its funny cos it would be easier for S&M to stamp out Standard from the New School section.
Its not like Standard have anything to show in there! :LolLolLolLol:

standard are more what you'd call the prestige marque, make quality frames in small numbers.
S&M on the other hand are your run of the mill family saloon made in large numbers and blend in to the background.

bit like the riding styles to be honest:
standard - precision tech
S&M - butchered trail monkeys

Just keep an eye an that headtube buddy!

Still, it comes to something when the main guy who runs Standard Disto in the UK .... who is actually on the standard team, doesnt even ride a standard frame!
I guess he had standard stickers on it, so that makes it OK.  ::)

jump across kev! be the best decision you've ever made, swap the avatar too. you'll realise you've been hampered by s&m for far too long.
