Manchester BMX club will be holding it's first winter season club race this Saturday. The plan is that a race will be held each first Saturday of the month during what is normally the clubs practice session between 3-6:00 pm.
There will be a quite a lot of local novice riders, so it's a good opportunity to have your first go at racing, or if you are a seasoned vet there will be some very good riders as well. Maybe not this time, but if there is enough old school interest, we could get our own moto.
Anyone wanting practice before the event, the track is open 10:00am-9:00pm 7 days a week and run by the council outside of the clubs sessions. The gate is only in operation during club sessions which are currently Thursday evening 6-9:00pm and Saturday afternoons as mentioned above. The track benefits from floodlights, so sessions will continue all through winter, track conditions permitting.
Race entry fees are only £2 per person, the same price for gate practice for non members. Club members only pay £1 for practice.
Equipment is available for hire from the council, but this isn't currently available during club sessions.
