Rom, I remember doing a national there too, yippeee... I can even picture the track (and Tom Lynches GTE)  8)

Nik said you're thinking of the other Rom (brettons).

We went there last year, overgrown and covered in british scorpions, Nik loved it  :2funny: :2funny:
A long time ago, in a land far away!

Whickam
Whitehaven
Wigan
Yeadon (Leeds)

Phew, that's 54 so far, sure there are a few more that will come to mind. And I've rolled around the new Hartlepool track.

Remembered a few more ...

Barlow (near drax power station)
Cramlington
Newark (crashed here and got hospitalised with concussion)

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Newark-on-Trent,+Nottinghamshire,+United+Kingdom&ie=UTF8&cd=2&geocode=FdbaKQMdxKTz_w&ll=53.063165,-0.802635&spn=0.001544,0.006866&t=h&z=18

Waverdale

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=waverdale&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=9.534513,18.742676&ie=UTF8&ll=54.981742,-1.546873&spn=0.002259,0.004576&t=h&z=18

Windy Nook

That's 59, who's in the lead?

Grimsby = 60
Knottingley = 61

62 - There was a track on south Humberside next to a YMCA it could have been Cleethorpes, the national there was the wettest race in the history of the universe.

I was pondering about all the tracks in the UK, past and present and thought it would be cool if everyone listed the tracks they had ridden / raced throughout their BMX years...

Let's have a complete list of tracks that exist / existed in the UK...  :)

Tony,

I suggest that there should be a new board on this forum called "Tracks, old and new".  On this board there should be a topic dedicated to each track showing its details, name, location, date of construction etc, and where people can post thier pictures, memories, videos etc. A track database of sorts, before they are forgotten.

What says you?

Flemdog!!   Can you remember where the Kendal track was located?

And any other tracks around the South Lakes area.

I might try and find them and see if they are still rideable!!

The nearest track to me is Preston and thats 50 miles away!!!  :'(
Can't remember where Kendal was, maybe Johny C could recall...?

Kendal track was just up from the south lakeland swimming pool !

park in the car park go up the grass banking turn left along the dirt track go along it for a while , all gone now moley think its all weather footie now.
