Its a 79 frame, no forks. I cant get pics until i get down me old chaps to fish it out of the loft. I know its in good shape, minimal wear to the dropouts & stripped back to bare metal.

A Supergoose 1 then ... have you stripped the original nickel plate or was it painted at some point  :)

I'm very interested if you're selling it ... I've been looking for some time now to build a rep of my very 1st BMX  :smitten:

It had been re-painted but then stripped off again so im unsure if the nickel plate has gone. It was my brothers bike but he has said im welcome to get it if i dig it out of the loft which is a hell of a job as there is years worth of stuff up there! It will be going up for sale when i get it out, hence why im looking on a figure of what its worth. How do i decode the identity number?

£150 ish. i've had my eye on supers' for ages and had about 20 ebay auctions in there own little file in my favorites earlier on this year. Generally they were between £80 and £200 depending on the condition. NOS or mint though might go a fair bit higher but it sounds like your one is neither.

Well that gives me a rough idea. Yeah its definatley not nos or mint just a good condition stripped back frame ready for a good resto. If i had known about it i would have built that up instead of the reflex that ive nearly finished building. It wasnt until my brother said "ive still got my goose in dad's loft" when i though bugger! :idiot2:

I may strip the reflex & sell that yet & rebuild the goose but i really wanted to finish what i had started. I'll know more once i actually go fetch it so watch this space for pic's  :daumenhoch:

Yep I'd go along with all that - watched 2 end on ebay recently one over here and on in the states both around 150 quid and both had forks included.

One in the UK and one in the US - both around the 150 mark but both needed full strip down and re chrome in my opinion  ;)
The US one might have been saveable I suppose.......

Ah yes the old chrome / nickel on a supergoose 1 discussion hmmm - had a chat with kev (kdw712) about this not so long ago - if you look in the pdf catalogs from vintagemongoose.com the 1979-80 has the supergoose indeed listed as a nickel finish, however the 1981 catalog - still showing the supergoose with the same dropouts (no holes) has it listed as chrome another mongoose variant thrown into the mix  ;D
Maybe we should call the nickel one a supergoose zero  :LolLolLolLol:
I can see this discussion going something like the Proclass ID thread or even the legendary UK/USA supergoose 3 thread  :daumenhoch:
For those without the .pdf catalogs here are the supergoose specs from each :

HA HA - so it was you who beat me on this one on US ebay  :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

I think you got that for a good price mate  :daumenhoch:

I'd have bid a fair bit more myself if I hadn't bought so many mongoose frames lately  :uglystupid2:

Already got a mint supergoose so I was just trying to steal it for a cheeky price  ::)

For me mate that is a chrome supergoose 1 all the way and it probably is a 1981 like stated - sweet  8)

What colour bits are you gonna go for ? Are you gonna keep it stock mongoose parts bars / forks etc. or are you going the custom build route ?
