why was it crap?
my idea is im building rider which im thinking along the lines of parts were hard to get as the years went on and the people who rode thru 90s basically rode with whatever parts they could muster .im going on this theme and therefore while wanting the early 90s parts im also thinking nothing rare etc .summat that was easy findable or pinchable off used stock bike etc in this period .am i making sense
one bike ive seen lately was the dirt bros that was posted up very 90s and basically ratty ish

dont think fishbone stuff was stock on anything.

fishbone seems to be designed purely to be unsellable at the time, and designed only to be sold as a last resort to desperate bike builders who want to create bikes that never were.

stick with the oddy stuff.

stay well away from fishbone! was never any good and its too late for your build anyway.

what frame you using, that could sway what you gonna put on it?

I've got 180mm Odyssey excaliber 1 piece cranks with a sealed bottom bracket set.
I also have Odyssey Pitbull brakes in black or silver (Silver are NOS still in original box.....Black are used).
I also have a black Odyssey Pozi Stop seat clamp that has hardly been used.
I also have a NOS black Primo 22.2 post.
