Cougar 3000 Seat/Seatpost Combo! Does it need a shim?
« on: September 24, 2008, 10:17 PM »
I have a Cougar 3000 Seat/Seatpost Combo!

The post is made out some Fibreglass type stuff.

My other Seat/Post combo is a an Elina Fibre glass jobby but that came with a shim.

Do these type of stems need a metal shim or are they just to pad if the stem doesn't fit and serve no other purpose!

The cougar seems to fit snugly in the tube and probably wouldn't fit with a shim!!  :-\

So do I need a shim?

Thanks  :daumenhoch:
