Gt seatpost ID

This post is on my MRD , must b an early post as is same age as bike , just ain't seen 1 stamped before . Is this unusual ?

I dont know,just had a look at mine it has GT stamped on it and CA chromoly, or something like that

Its been a bit rusty so if its worth a few quid I may get it rechromed  If not I'll polish it up as its different
