I wonder if it was anything to do with a constructive email I sent saying we'd like to know more about the changes and how Creation was going to be improved.

I'm sure they'll show their faces at some point and  as I think we've all got an interest in seeing Creation be as good as it can be, it'll only be good to discuss the revamp with them.

Last week someone asked me why RAD always go to Creation for their events.

It was a good question because other than the central location, Im not really sure why.
It sure aint because its one of the best parks in the country. (although I hope that changes soon)

Alex.......a central location was one of the main reasons.....but also the price did come into it as well, up until now we were being charged £100 an hour for the whole park, i think it's now gone up to £120 or something like that.  so not only was it central with good travel links...but also pretty good value at £400 for the night.

we have looked at Corby in the past but they used to only rent the park out at stupid times and it seemed very expensive if you wanted the whole park.

do you know of any other such sized places that we could use?

Im not having a pop, its just that creation isnt a brilliant park. Its OK, I always have a good time riding there (Ive not riden the new setup), but it was a fair question.

Ive been to a private session at Corby so they do do it. Id suggest working on them for a good price. Say that it could lead on to 4 or 6 events a year. A RAD evening session there would be amazing. Its a great park, but its not easy to ride everything when its crowded.

Id say it'd have to be an indoor park for a RAD private session as most of them are in the evening (dark and cold) and you wouldnt wanna pay out for a session that got rained off. Also it would be hard to keep it private if the park was open for all (I know not all outdoor parks are open entry).

not wanting to drag this thread too far off the beaten track.....but it was about 15 years ago now as i went there with my ex wife, she'd always wanted to go there and as we were up that way we dropped in.  well the lights looked tatty, the sea looked like raw sewage, the whole sea front stank of donkey cr@p, we got attacked by seagulls trying to eat our chips and the so called pleasure beach was about as pleasurable as piles!  then there were the lovely seaside shops that openly sold porn movies on the street outside there shops!     obviously picked a few of those up  ;)

but we couldn't get out of the place quick enough mate...........

I'll work on Corby for a novice sesh after this one is sorted.

I'll recruit Tony (Jedi) to the cause as I believe he knows the manager there, and also might actually live there under one of the ramps.  :LolLolLolLol:

That would be great JT71 as that is somewhere I would like to ride. I am sure Bensherman would come along also.

well I'll look into after the 27th.

however, let's just see how this novice night goes first...afterwards you might not want me organising anything else.  :LolLolLolLol:

though in fairness Martin (2020mad) has done all the hard work.  :daumenhoch:

Zach Shaw works, and lives there, most of the time, sure he'd sort something out for the old boys

Yep, we use Creation because it is central for most, fairly big and has an upstairs for show n shine. They used to have a bar too - which would be such a welcome addition again, especially now it has gone up to £120.

The Xmas event is a 5 hour session - so you get extra value for ya money!
