this is a follow on from the park update thread in events and gatherings! creation is undergoing numerous changes at the moment but nothing seems have been done properly! it p!sses me off to see a great skatepark go to tatters. i'm sure we've all seen it over the years. radlands in northhampton is what springs to my mind, tragic end! i fear creation is heading the same way!

here's some shots of what the park used to look like at its best, most of you have only been back on the scene a coule of years so hopefully with the pics you can see where i'm coming from, followed by the mongrel setup it has now

before the climbing center moved in, king of skatepark 2004 (dj should remembeer this well, great relaxed comp, good vibe all over)
look how polished it was, banks, rails, transitions, great lines, and good flow all over!

does now look like just a warehouse with some ramps in rather than a skatepark fundage.

MOngrel does come to mind from what I saw - Corby is miles better than Creation at the moment but only because it is more orgasnised. Its like the dudes running it happen to have a skatepark in their back room and don't really tend to it - ends up gettting neglected.

I didn't see it BITD but there doesn't seem like a great deal of flow in the place. Just a couple of ramps here and there.

Perhaps we need to voice our concerns to them.

Might just be a case of keep taking money, rather than close it for a week or two and get it all done, just doing a few hours after the park is closed. Hope it gets sorted for the RAD xmas bash.

been down that route so many times! even had focus groups with them to brainstorm ideas. its all good in the room, full of potential, walk away feeling great, then nothing actually develops,

all they are doing now is chopping old ramps to make smaller new ones

this is the leaflet they've been handing out as the new park lay out. as it happens this isn't whats being done as the bowl doesn't actually fit into the space. they didn't take into account measurements (well done creation

but it seems the attrocities that already grace the floor of the old bus depot are whats supposed to be there! so the future doesn't look great for the place
