KINKY - Troxel 650 Seat Restoration
« on: September 13, 2008, 04:15 PM »
I've just finished restoring this seat and very pleased with the result ... I suppose it's something different for a change  :coolsmiley:

BEFORE - well scuffed and far from being worthy for a show bike

AFTER - a new leather coat and some of Del's brilliant seat decals

Right ... back to the decorating which is what I should have been doing this weekend  ;D

Steve

Nice work Steve, Restomeister  :daumenhoch:  How did you stretch the leather over and what glue did you use?

Nice work Steve, Restomeister  :daumenhoch:  How did you stretch the leather over and what glue did you use?

I managed to get some thin leather from my local market which stretched nicely and without too much effort

I originally used a spray adhesive which was a complete failure  ???  a quality contact adhesive (Evo Stik) did the job perfectly  :daumenhoch:
