Jeremy Velhurst

My apologies if I've spelt his surname wrong   :-[

So can anyone give a little history on him?  I only know him from various Standard vid sections, always loved his style and apparent attitude.  What became of him, he's not been on Standard for a while has he?  Is he still riding?

rode for standard all through the 90's and worked in the warehouse stickering the frames amonst other things! had his own small company called 'team jv'. not sure how far it went but he made an awesome video in conjunction with SBC. not sure if he is still at standard or moved away. i'll try and find out a little more!

on a personal note, good to meet and ride with him! loads of energy when he rides, stupidly high airs to 5050!

Cool.   Always wondered what happened to him, where he came from, where he went  etc.

I always thought of Velhurst as Standards version of Keith Trainor (S&M rider). Both had a very agressive riding style and came across as people who werent afraid to get into trouble.

After that whole deal when Velhurst punched that guy (it was in a bike Video) Trainor was going to find Velhurst and punch him. All very silly, but they were very similar.

I heard that the guy wrote that comment in the card, didnt know that Jeff had actually broken his neck.
I think Velhurst even aploagised for punching him a while after.
