Advice on my Sabbath build please
« on: January 16, 2009, 12:25 PM »
This one's gonna be a rider and the short TT feels pretty good first ride out (I'm only 5'2").  Bought the NOS frame (2001), Primo seat and AD990 pretty cheaply and have built it up with early 2000s parts poached from my son's bike for the mo'.  Next month it's earmarked for some decent 3 piece cranks but I'm torn between keeping it pretty much as it is now (prob replace the cheap copy bars with a set of chrome Moes) or dropping silly money on some black Pitchforks, Smal bars and a Redneck.  What would you do?

Cheers both - I know you're right but patience was never my strong point - probably why I'm always broke  ;)  Guess I'll start with the Pitchforks (I've seen a few offers on 10mm ones) go from there and in the meantime just enjoy the ride.

Yeah, get riding first, and play around with parts as you go.  You might find that it rides fine and your money is better spent in petrol getting around to parks.   :)

Cos lets face it, transporting a bike like that will cost you a lot of petrol money!   :LolLolLolLol:

Nice bike tho. A few of those are starting to pop up now.  :daumenhoch:

Well, I've 'enjoyed the ride' for precisely one week  ::) and just in case anyone's wondering why it has now appeared on the big 'E', I've fallen for another (I reckon an 18" Dirt Bike would be perfect  ;)). Somebody slap my wrists and confiscate my visa card . . . please.

Edit:  All done and dusted - hope it was someone on here.  Now I gotta draw up another wishlist and find another avatar ;)

Fantastic, both of them, but postie collected mine today and it's winging its way to its new owner.  Twas a bit of a spur of the moment decisiion to sell  :-\ but I figured a similarly short but lighter set-up would suit me better . . . and dirt is calling.  I've already started gathering a few bits and pieces together for the next project - just hope that Dirt Bike is still available next week when I have more cash .
