Are these any good??

I got some NOS ones with a Quad frame from the states a while back, and I am unsure what to do with them?

Just wondered if anyone has any details about them or what bike they would suit time period wise etc etc.

Mid to low end of the market forks; nothing that special really and found on a lot of supermarket/budget bikes in the late 80s onwards.  Tend to be mild steel rather than cro-mo although they do/did make cro-mo ones :daumenhoch:

Thought as much as they don't look top end.

Also what does "butted tubes" mean? does it mean they aren't machined fr atight fit just "butted" together?

Hey Rob, how's things?

Butted tubes are thicker in certain areas (particularly the ends) and are thinner in the areas where there will be less stress (usually the middle)
