Dave Slades Video
« on: January 30, 2006, 09:55 AM »
Anybody have a copy of this they can flip to DVD?  Or they can sell me a copy and I can do it myself :)

Or in fact anything with Angry brown in it.  Not an egoblaster, I'd just like my kids to see it.

my email is mylifeisfab@hotmal.co.uk (reason for stupid email nae is so that I get no spam)

Any vids, DVD's will glady pay cash for.  Thanks for your time.

RADHAB is the best person  to ask, he has most things on vid or dvd  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Dave Slade was from Sheffield, right?  What happened to him?

Used to drive past his house near Abbey Lane sometimes and see the quarter pipe in his drive.  Last saw him coming out of JE James late-80s carrying a Tuff Wheel.

Crikey!  The boy done good.

Hope he finds his way back to doing something BMX related.

Amazing that there are lots of big shots out there who were BMX'ers - Spike Jonze, Jeff Tremaine, Slash, Andy Ruffell but they don't (as far as I'm aware) use some of their power/influence/wealth to do some BMX related stuff.

I met up with Dave a few times about 7 or so years ago.  He was working for Bullet films in Soho.  Lost touch again with him.  Doing quite well currently by all accounts.  30 days of night was no real surprise.  He loved the Comic 'Blood', and the artwork of Kent Williams,

still in touch with mike, he lives in london, married and a partner in apex cycles in peckham(or is it clapham) andy i havnt seen for about 10 years now, though in touch with his youngest bro matt. phil i havnt seen since 1990. i knew he is still about, has a roofing business (up merthyr way i heard) think he likes racing motorbikes.
still great friends with some of the other ramp room riders, evo, chris fowler, tomo(plug) veysey. all still in cardiff.

actually i ended up with your old trickstar (the one you rode at poole national 1986) back in 1990. i know nipper had it off you and further down the line he had it done in pink with white parts etc. i had it done black but snapped it it. damn. if only i kept it as it was. damn if only i kept it.  :tickedoff:

I've been after this vid for ages-
is it worth chasing Dave Slade down for a DVD?
or does anyone have one they can lend me?
