Remember the old Bully,GT and Haro bashguard frames'really good fun in the day, never thought id see those come back.
Just seen a picture of the new Subrosas frame which has a small bashguard to protect the small chainring. Not sure they will take off like before?

I've seen that frame pic, looks pretty trick :daumenhoch: indeed a smaller version of the o/s bashguard frames!

If the trendies run them then they'll take off for sure. Same as removable brake lugs, Haro did it first & no-one gave a shit, as soon as Fly did it it was the nuts! If the right company ran a huge purple bell end on their frames it would take off!

Fly did a small bashguard for ruben a year or so ago. It looks nice but I think it only fits one of the fly frames.

trendy Trill  :LolLolLolLol: has one of the Fly bashguards, but its smaller than his sproket so doesnt work  ;D

he also has the removable brake lugs, theres a problem  with them, they undo themselves when tightening up the brake, so both inventions are twonk and poor trill is brakeless and without a bash guard

Do the small sprockets on n/s rides need protecting there way thicker than o/s 44T sprockets which you only had to look at them to bend them or is it the chain they want to protect.

I clipped my sprocket on a coping a couple of times when i first got a new school bike.

next time i pedalled hard my ribs got the good news from the bars as the chain snapped.

so to protect the chain would be at least part of it.
