I'm not sure whether there should be a separate thread for Motobecane, as I think the name was changed to MBK when Yamaha bought the company in 1984. However, my '84 MX400 is definitely from the same stable, so I've posted it here!
I love the lines of these frames, with a low-slung, split-top tube, it looks fast and sleek just standing still. Matched with Tange forks (Tange built an earlier model, so there’s a connection there), I built mine up with a mixture of largely era-correct parts. Nothing too fancy, as I didn’t want to detract from the clean lines of the frame. Also, I wasn’t sure whether to go for a black or blue colour scheme, so went for a bit of both!! Vive la difference!
