mid school 'disappeared' parts...
« on: August 17, 2008, 09:34 PM »
Its pretty comon knowledge thats its fun to collect mid school stuff as its still fairly easy to find certain parts - but ther seem to be some parts that have simply disappeared. Parts that were 10 to the dozen in the 90's that you cant find for love nor money.
I'll start -

Amberwall GT MAGABITE tyres. amazing tread, fat front, skinny rear, Ritchey then did the Ritchey Megabite mtb tyre which became the Ritchey Z Max.
Anyone have any gt megabites? Ive been on the lookout for years!

anyone else care to mention any impossible to find mid school parts?

I've got a NOS Ritchey Z Max skinwall tyre......Now if I can be so lucky as to finding another then I'd be a happy chappy.
I've also got a set of Skinwall GT Megabite tyres too! Fat and skinny and still loads of tread on them (I bought them new when they first came out - Only downside is the dryrot that has set into the sidewalls).

Havok Sprocket Pocket.  I've seen 1 in the last couple years.

Older UGP number plates.  Nothing out there anymore.

Haro Holeshot tires.  Harder to find than Megabites.

First series ATI grips.  Like the ones they gave away in BMX Plus in the early 90's.

Anything Revcore or Hutchins.

Havok Sprocket Pocket.  I've seen 1 in the last couple years..

I've had two of the later Havok/Odyssey Sprocket Pockets in black in my possession in the last 6 months.

one's fitted and one got given to a mid school Guru.

I'd love a white one though.

the first style of primo pervert upper gyro cable, the one with the engraved p. the only one ive seen is on my condor
the original primo meat tenderizers, not the bigger super tenderizers-again did i have the only pair in the world?
peregrine pedals-dont see 2 many

I have a pervert with the P on it, so there's 2 of us! I also have a 10mm gack/girthy front hub, still spins as good as the day it was made, laced into a hoffman hi roller rim 8)

Those primo tenderizers, were they the "flat" ones, no concave?

How about peregrine phat jacks? Super pro rim, big ass hubs & 12g spokes, buff...
