Steve,

If you make a frame that is OS racing legal it still wouldnt be legal as there is a "no ringers" rule

it will need a saddle bag and a rack

How about this Eddie Fiola Special?  :LolLolLolLol:

A good 'New' Retro BMX!!

Definitely Chrome

Small Tubing

It has to have that bling factor.

Modern Geometry so that its rideable.  It would be a waste of time making a niche bike just for show!!!

A long enough seat tube.

Mounts for any type of of brake.  Let the user make his choice (removable brake lugs)!!

Chroming it will cost a fortune and that money would be better spent on quality tubing.

Rims posted tomorrow Steve.  :daumenhoch:

Controversial!!! but only my thoughts as an innocent bi-stander. In light of dwindling? numbers in old school, and trying to bring new blood back into the sport. Tied in with the rising cost and availability of real old school bikes, and being that old school is quoted as being for fun and a way to ease back into the sport. Would it not be feasible that if a new bike was built to retro spec and with-in old school rules, so as not to give any advantage, other than perhaps being a little stronger through not being sat idle in a shed for 15 years, that rules could be re-vamped........this could have multiple advantages for the sport?
After all, many old school bikes are built up of nos parts, so are practically new in most senses.
By providing an "off the shelf bike race ready bike" for the new old schoolers could possibly make it a lot easier to get back into the sport. I Know through recent threads a few guys on here have fallen foul and spent hard earnt on mid and new school bikes with-out realising they would not be legal. This could solve many headaches and financial issues for people wanting to come back?

This is only my opinion and really from personnal experience from trying to find a bike that is race legal. How many posts do we get on rad from newbies asking how to get hold of a bike, what is best and what budget....surely if steve could achieve this, with-in the rules numbers would grow?
