Kelloggs 84 - Billy Stupple ???
« on: January 16, 2006, 08:45 PM »
Dug out some more of my pics from the Kelloggs 84 Tour at Wigan and spotted this one.
Got the magnifying glass out and lo & behold it says 'Billy Stupple' on the front of the number plate!

I presume it is you Billy in your traditional 'trying to pull your bars and stem out' style  ;D

That was in the height comp with the limited run up, thats either the one before or the one after the big bail which I am most fondly remembered for  :(

I think I`m just trying my hardest to get back into the ramp  :idiot2:

its a real mystery why it toook about 15 years before we decided to build ramps wider than the bikes. :)

How high can you get nowadays Bill?  Could you replicate that air now?

I managed to get 5ft out of Satans Toilet last year, thats higher than I got on my one visit bitd, but can get around 4ft or so elsewhere. Need to get some more practice in, hense the backyard ramp, but I feel like I could get higher now than bitd if I could ride on the same ramp week in week out as the bikes give more confidence than the old school bikes, but that might just be a dream  :idiot2:

cool. Thats encouraging. I could only manage about 2 ft back in the day, so i guess i don't have so much to aim for.  That's great. Its a nice story to hear that 80's Uk legend billy Stupple is as good/or better than he's ever been. Good on ya- Ross

Dont laugh a guy did that at the barn jam in 86-87 but in pants just and his converse boots and for some reason a necklace coming out of his nose!!! Was only about 4ft out though!!
