Bill took a nasty spill off the last jump before the second turn - he was leading the B Final, the front seemed to slip away from him as he came over the jump then went all skewiff to the left and bit the dust right by us.

Was my first visit to a BMX race/track since 1986.. (only as a spectator) but what a day.



I had a great afternoon watching but i dont think my first appearance in over 22 years was a good omen for some riders.... Started watching over the start hill side on the start straight and the 15 y/o Latvian prodigy crashed bably on the first step up....

Then went around to the other side and Bill did a wobbly while in the lead on the B Final and landed right in front of me..


I thought f00k it,after that, i'd better go get an ice cream  ;D

Good pics Lee and it looked like a good race meeting.  Fair play to Bill for upping his racing even more.

I cut off my nose to spite my face by not going to Burnham as I missed not racing this weekend and not being with my team (though I had a good session at Herne Bay), but this whole Olympic trial/Kelvin Batey/Liam Phillips thing has made me feel very anti-BC.

It was excellent ..... the Dialled team rode really well... John Moore and Scott Waterhouse were on fire .

Excellent weekend only spoilt by the re-run of the 6 & under A-Final.

Yeah, I think Scott and Jon are pretty close to clinching their respective titles now.

It'll be good to have some No.1s on the team again.  2007 was a bit disappointing after 2006 when Shaun Andrews and Lee Bromfield both got National No.1 and Ben Forwood got Euro No.1.

Hopefully we can compete for No.1 team next season as well (best ranking since I started the team in 2004 was in 2006 when we got No.6).

Tre Whyte and Emily James ( I think it was her ) did really well also ( Tre was unlucky to be taken out by Dan McBride falling in front of him on Sat)

It felt soooooooo good to be back on the bike. Wrist ached like hell driving the caravan home for 6 hours but it was worth it. Went to physio on Monday and ive got a lot more movement in it since I went 2 weeks ago, riding must be good for you  ;D
PS. Hope you dont mind but ive put that pic in my collection  :smitten:
