i have never built up a bmx before but i am taking on a skyway ta project (1982), just trying to relive my childhood i think!

Just need advising what sort of a crank and chainwheel i need to be using on it???

i want it to be totally vintage, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

how long is a piece of string? Dont take this the wrong way but there are so many choices, they weren't sold as complete bikes so its your choice...

theres a set of Mint, Show Condition Redline Flites Full Wrap 180's for $650 on ebay at the moment...

People go crazy for their Flights and their Profiles but simple 1-piece cranks are always best. Cheaper, better. Look for Sugino or Takagi.

well my TA is getting a one piece Ody Excalibur.

but you don't want that for an 82 mutts nuts looking one...mines an 83 being done up like a 90s one.

Here here. I wont spend on flights. Too much money and i never had them bitd. Ive only got one set and i think a 1 piece can look just as nice on the right bike.

I must confess I do all my old school builds with one piece. never had a 3 piece BITD a neither did any of my mates.
