heres some pics of my mrd expert i have been restoring, when i got the frame it was in real bad shape ,to the extent that the bottom inch and a half of the seat tube was rusted away!!!
DRILLING OUT STUCK SEAT POST
RUSTY PART OF SEAT TUBE REMOVED ALONG WITH ORIGINAL BRAZE
NEW LOWER SEAT TUBE REPAIR SECTION
PORTO-POWER USED TO SPREAD FRAME TO INSERT REPAIR SECTION
REPAIR SECTION WELDED AND BRAZED IN
IT WAS A BIT OF A CHALLANGE BUT WELL WORTH SAVING

Phil, you're a genius fella, that's brilliant metalwork and like you said, well worth the time and effort for the end result. Love looking at the work you do and your builds

Amazing work.
Martin (2020mad) is looking for someone to do some work in the future, some serious chopping and changing of a frame.
I think you could be THE man.
