Tuff Wheels in the Dishwasher?
« on: July 15, 2008, 08:04 AM »
Anyone done this before?  ???

I have two sets of alloy hubbed ones and I want to get my white ones really minty for next month's bike of the month etc... let me know if you've done it and do you have to grease anything up or do anything prior to wacking them in?

Cheers,

Matt  :daumenhoch:

Stevey mate, will be doing this later. Will remove the freewheel first from one of them and give it a good clean and rub down and then get the buggers in there! ;)

Before and after pics are a promise  :daumenhoch:

I did a set, really came out well.

Best remove all bearings n stuff cos the grease will melt and run all over the place - it will all rinse out, but best to remove them in the 1st place.

I used the dishwasher cleaner stuff though - not just a normal dishwasher tablet as it's much stronger.
