Mongoose
« on: July 13, 2008, 07:38 PM »
ok ive owned some of the most desired bikes in the past, changa, jmc DY  jmc AP gen1 haro etc etc
but i have to say mongoose blow all of them away, just built a supergoose 3 to go with my pro class and i have a strong erge to collect every 20" pre 85 goose ever released. i guess its because a pro class was my dream bike when i was a kid, id never heard of VDC and JMC back then. So what was your dream bike and do you ever get the urge to collect all of one brand of bike ??

Hehh JT that was the same as me the laserlite, got a rusty frame from BMXGURU in Australia - then discovered RAD and now I have been collecting the other wants/lusts (bicycle wise only) ever since.

That said I do have a couple of bikes that I had not seen or heard of BITD, Thuster vanishing point and schwin predator.

But oithers were wants each time a new magazine tested one, HLT, Carerra II, GHP Pro, GT Pro etc, although funnily enough I didn't ever like the gooses other than the smoked pro class and the Motomag I just built is one of my faves now :idiot2:

The laserlite was the bike I always loved as a kid and was the only bike I ever really wanted. Like most people I have had Rippers, Trickstars, Haro's etc but sold them all and now I only collect Kuwahara's.

Got 15 Kuwahara's from 1980-1985 (some still to be completed)
KZ-1, KZ-2, KYZ, E.T. Nova, Supernova, KM-1 Mini, Laserlite, Survivor, Exhibitionist, Cruiser.

bodamus ;)

Always wanted a Hutch as a kid, now i've got one i don't want it any more as i know i couldn't afford to build one up.

So going to sell the frame set soon.  :( :( Although i have my other desired bike as a kid to build at the moment.
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

I've also built many popular bikes including Hutch, Skyway, Haro, Pro Class and even a Team Aero Pro but SE Racing have always been my all time favourite. I remember craving a Quad or a Ripper BITD and failed to persuade my parents to consider buying me one  :(

I now prefer to collect the old school SE Racing brand though I do still own a Pro Class cruiser and a Gen1 Freestyler

So far my SE collection includes 3 Quads, 4 Rippers (including a looptail Mini) and a Floval Flyer  ???
