Polishing powder coat.
« on: July 14, 2008, 09:44 AM »
So I've had my Firebird white powder coated, and while it looks pretty awesome, would anyone recommend polishing it with a fine lapping paste or T-Cut to make it look even better... or should I just leave it?

Cheers in advance!  :daumenhoch:

When I first uppacked my Rebel I had just received back from SBD, I knocked it over and it hit a metal chair.  I almost cried as I noticed a mark on the top tube.  I wiped it, rubbed it but still it wouldnt shift.

I then decided to get the autosol abrasive polish out and very lightly polished out the mark.  It completely disappeared, couldnt believe my eyes.

One of the benefits of powder I suppose, being so durable.

But it did also leave a nice shine on the frame afterwards.  Just be carefull not to rub too hard.
