Chrome can be stripped using a caustic soda/water mix, and a 12v car battery. The item to be stripped should be connected to the + lead, the - end in the solution. Its best to agitate the solution whilst stripping. The solution should go a urine !? colour.Caustic soda is available from hardware shops.Better results are acheived working on small areas at a time.Just dont throw the waste down the drain, water authorities arent keen on chromium in water systems.
