ONE EASY WAY HOW TO KILL YOUR BUILD
« on: July 11, 2008, 11:35 PM »
So many builds are put up on here and totally ruined by fitting an ELINA UL  :crazy2:

THE CRAPPEST LOOKING SEAT EVER MADE  :tickedoff:

Sits way too far forward , crap angle too

Just totally ruins the look of any bike :(

All those in favour say aye  ;)

Anybody else slightly disagree with this

close the door behind you , you've not got a clue about taste darling  ::)  :P

Don't give up Nick! I love Elina's , had a right fetish for buying them but most bikes I've tried UL's on look shite but it works on this poorly pic'd bicycle, where a fluted and lightning bolt failed.  Smell my balls Dubber!

I disagree, on certain bikes they look spot on; it's all to do with the seat tube angle.  Redlines, CW's look great with them, Rippers, Skyways, Hutch, etc look pants with them.  It's more about people researching what goes right with a build before doing it - a bit like how some people put their bars way too far forward.  Well that's my opinion anyway  :LolLolLolLol:.

I dont agree with the bars Marty mate. Im tall and when i do a build i tighten the stem once the bars feel comfy to me when im sitting on the seat. This makes the bars look too forward.

If you look at old skool pics alot of us had our bars forward to the degree that if the bike had  been pictured like that it would look crap.

I agree though that bars for pics do look better when in line with the angle of the forks but it dosent make a build any worse for hving them forward. ;)

Elina UL are crap but they are quite light.

Perfect for OS racing!!

And they are not too phallic like the Uni Turbos

For Bars, I think to get the true OS BITD, when I was a lad look, your bars have to be either too far forward or too far back.

I'm glad to know that this tradition is carrying on these days.

Whenever I go to a track these days, you'll find plenty of youngsters with the bars too forward or back!!!  :daumenhoch:

Got To Admit That They Do Kill Some Builds, Except For Mark J's And Nicks Kuwis, I Think They Look Great On Those Bikes... And The Bikes Look Fab, Well Done Guys :daumenhoch:. I Would Buy One For My Racer So If You Come Off And Scuff It Its Not Like Your Scuffing An Expensive Kashimax, Shot Gun II, Uni Etc. But I Would Never Put One On A Show Bike IMO

They're just wrong, you should be able to change the angle of a seat and on these you can't.  ;)
