Remove blemishes on hubs???
« on: July 12, 2008, 12:35 PM »
How can i remove the blemishes on these hubs and also other parts are marked and not shiny anymore, like the seat clamp, chain tensioners etc, would oxalic acid do anything?

Iv tried steel wool, the fine type, wet and dry scratches slightly.

Overall my restoration is going well, frames off for powder coating, got to dye my Acorn Freestyle mags, got replacement bars and seat post :D

hubs would need polishing to remove all oxidisation and pitting i have done some before with great results, seat guts would really need re plating ,it might be easier to find a cheap nos seat and remove the guts from that ;)

What would you recommend polishing them with?
