Look through the magazines from the early 90s and you will see that most AA pro racers used slam bars or race/challenger bars, the same thing but thinner walled tubing and a smaller dia cross bar. Oh, you probably wont see that cos they all took the S&M stickers off and replaced them with their sponsors stickers. (Most did the same thing with Pitchforks too).

Yeah, tbh there were loads of race bars around. Dont forget, if you get stuck finding any, the Slams you can buy now are pretty close to the mid 90s ones .... only they are better quality now .... and the shape doesnt change from month to month.

I think they were late 80's though, but saw some on a 90's race bike the other day

When I bought my Holmes, Custom Riders didn't have any Slams in stock so I put Xposure Dirt Bars on it which looked/felt quite similar to Slams.

When I got my 1999 Ripper (second hand in 2001) it came with Xposure bars on it,. I think the bloke I got the bike from, who was a old/mid school racer,  had owened them for a while. Nothing wrong with them at all, nice bars, I've still got them on the Ripper now.
