o yeah, I did it, after weeks of trying I finally managed to remove the damn seatpost out of that rusty GT. In desperation I took the saddle off to find that it was one of those new school things with the tubular clamp on top of the post, so....

I used it to clamp in a set of old burner bars, still not enough leverage, I then slid a pair of mongoose fork over the end of the burner bars, still no joy, so I bolted a pair of crappy forks to the mongoose ones and slid some gt bars down them, I now had the weirdest looking lever/spanner but it worked, the damn thing is out. There was about one and a half foot of post inside the frame, it's got to be the longest damn seapost I've ever seen! I've got a sneaky suspicion it's from a MTB.

Anyway, good to be back, happy new year to all.  :)

but it was a 13mm you know you need a 10mm to cut cables
