It's turning into the BMX version of Last Man Standing.  What a joke.

But BCF know they have everyone who wants to race nationals/internationals over a barrel.

Best way to protest is to not attend races/not renew licences, but very few people have the courage of their convictions to do that.

Dont you just know, when (if) Shanaze obliterates the competition and takes home the Olympic title it'll be the BCF who are at the front of the media scramble to report on some British success with "yeah,it was all down to our support she made it.."

I can see it now. :yahoo_silent:

You got that part dead right!!! Alan Woods is to busy to head up such a breakaway group. But my feeling is something has to give and people who arent happy have to take it on themselves and make a stand with licences or get a new organisation going. Big task i know but  someone once said to me "howd you eat an elephant? answer "one bite at a time"
I dont think theres any reason why sponsors cant be found and eg: a VANS race series, Add you own sponsor!!! cant be found for an alternative series in 2009.

Bang on the nail with the insurance issue mike, it's more about protecting the spectators and organisers than the riders themselves.

MK for example is in a public park, if Mr Brown want's to walk his dog down there in the middle of 500 riders/spectators he can! and if something were to happen to Mr Brown and he was that way inclined i could loose my house, that's all the incentive I need to renew my clubs BCF affiliation every year.
