set up right DX levers rocked for racing, just not enough leverage for freestyle stuff. I still prefer using them now on my OS race bike

Is it DX levers that have that adjuster screw that changes the reach of the levers? I found that it kept moving round by its self and the brake went out of adjustment when it did.

I also didnt like the inverted way the inner cable stays still and the outer cable is pulled away from it.

Believe it or not, shimano stuff is date stamped.
They used a two letter code.
i.e.  FA
First letter is year, second is month.
They started the year on A in 1977.
So, FA would be 1982 january.
