Ok Keith, until someone gets past the matron & smuggles Ratty a wireless laptop into his hotel room,he's not gonna be able to answer..

Takin a wild guess here...

You were running knobblies.... and it was an indoor race?  ???

Nowhere near right.

Outwell was soft dirt anyway so the knobbly's were needed.

When i got on the Redline factory team i was given a famous bike to race.

Is that it in the picture?

No. I remember the pic with Stu's bike, but i alos remember you racing a goldish Race Inc too early on.

Is that an MXIII in this pic...or (ahem) is it a Redline at all?

Good memory!!

That bike is indeed a 'kids bike' with alloy 'road bike' cranks & tiny bars etc it is also an mx111 i think? (if thats what the standard bike was in 81?)

The reason that bike is in the picture is because despite the caption it ISNT me, it is in fact my younger team mate Gary Willats who was 12 or 13 then!

Easy mistake though as we both ran the same number then & there were only two of us on the team with that kit.
