Thousands of members but only half Post !!!!

Just an observation really  - had a click on the list of all rad members and then listed by number of posts and noticed out of 148 pages of members after around the mid point the number of posts drops to zero 

Are there that many voyeurs out there or just a lot of one time only's ? Any thoughts ?

YES, certain members have been banned from the forum,there was a case recently where the person concerned was banned,i dont see the reson why he was banned or the point in doing so as............................... he can reregister and as long as he doesnt post, his ip address wont be loged and they wont know its the person who was banned,this is why there is so many zero posters,i couldnt see the reson in the banning as the person was getting involved in the forum, showing his bikes had a great thread! on his trip to rockford and also would have put some great items up for sale on this forum,i think it is a loss to the members of this forum that a person gets a ban because they dont see eye to eye with sombody in power,in the real world this doesnt happen .

you say certain members have been banned, you make it sound like all the zero posters are banned members

i think since rad first started only 3 maybe 4 people have been banned - i dont think this is bad statistics

correct,i feel it was / is counter productive to ban members without a warning,somtimes members just disapear,somtimes they get banned and knowbody knows (the genaral members of rad) that the said person has been banned.

My theory is that some people register so they can come to meets?  maybe out of interest then never come back, maybe just to sell stuff and make a quick buck and fook off?  maybe just to have a butchers about then do one?

maybe though, just maybe.....people register under diferent usernames so they can reply to threads and stir things up without people knowing who they really are???

that's fine that you think that way, everyones entitled to their own oppinions........i just don't get why you've posted it up in here and on this thread?  i also don't understand why the need to bring it all up again and stir up old issues?  let it go and move on

Interesting theories there pickle - can't understand why people would want to post an opinion to stir things up by having a different log on name - if people have got a true opinion on something surely they want people to know those thoughts come from themselves - but then a guess it takes all sorts (some people just have too much time on their hands !!!!)

also some people might just be shy,others maybe cant spell,some maybe rock stars,film stars etc and dont want the hassle...........................but some are banned members, as for the theory of using another name to stir up trouble,you pickel and the other mods will know this as the two different screen names will have the same ip

I think anyone that does not post for 12 months should get an automated message to re-register within a month or their account will be deleted, just a thought, could this be done

you'd be suprised mate!  as for me knowing I.Ps? it's only the Admin guys that can do all that stuff..........being a Moderator only allows me to move posts and delete posts.....that's about it mate......no banning from me 

what also might be the reason is that some people might forget their login or password and just re register??

People who get banned are banned for a reason, I dont think we need to explain our selves to anyone.

Nice to know that they enjoy our site so much that they keep coming back. Sometimes, the trouble has been sorted, then it starts again, and then enough can be enough. I have no real problem with any of them, but they are banned for a reason, and again, we dont need to explain any reason to anyone.

Only admin can read IP addresses. We dont bother most of the time.

It was thought about, but we decided that they are not doing any harm, so let em be.

Oh, and the ban list is about 45 odd people long, but, a lot of them are duplicate members, one member being banned over 8 times.

theres no zero post members that are banned, except for the ones who have matching i.p's to previously convicted fellons....and members do usually get a warning email prior to being banned.

but as has been said, our ban list is very small...percentage wise
