a sad sad day.

I just assumed it would have been a  trick gone wrong, you see his videos, he defies gravity, but to go this way
makes it seem worse some how.

Quote from the SUN

"ONE of Britain’s top BMX stunt riders has died after breaking his neck in a lake.
Student Beau Forrest, 18, had been with friends at a park when he stood and dived backwards into the water – not realising it was shallow.

He suffered massive head and spinal injuries.

Pals gave him the kiss of life – but he died four days later after being transferred from Dudley, West Mids, to a specialist unit in Liverpool.

His devastated family told how he regained consciousness after a nine-hour operation and told girlfriend Avalon Southall, 16, he loved her before losing consciousness for the final time.

Beau, of Brierley Hill, West Mids, did not drink and his gravity-defying jumps gained him fans in Europe and America."

Very sad

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cnut... ME!

Really sad - apparently he regained consciousness to tell his Girlfriend he loved her and then became unconcious again and never recovered.

Thoughts go out to his family and friends.  :'(

sad news

my neighbours done the same thing ,luckily he survived but he's got to wear  scaffolding around his head untill his neck gets stronger,he was millimeters from been paralised or dead.

the worst{but he laughs about it}is they drilled two holes in the front of his head and they didn't match up with the rear,so he's got 4 holes in his forehead.

every summer we hear about this type of accident at southsea pier, it seems as if its some sort of bravado thing to dive off southsea pier as it was to dive off the round tower at sally port back in my day (yes i did do it to  :idiot2:)
sad news as he was so young my condolences to the family :'(

just the easiest way for the press to get over to the population at large that he rode a bike and did tricks/stunts. if you put "trials rider" most people wouldn't know what that was.

Always sad when a parent has to bury their child, thoughts are with his family at this saddest of times.
